Description | EHV – 1 is caused by a herpes virus which is found worldwide. Its symptoms most often manifest as either respiratory or reproductive in nature. However, it can on occasion cause neurological symptoms. EHV-1 is not zoonotic, Management in the horse population is achieved using good breeding management and vaccination. |
